Meet Travis
For more than 24 years, Travis has been helping customers achieve their building and real estate goals. Buyers, sellers and investors have trusted him to deliver best in class customer service.
During this time, he has enjoyed helping customers with floor plan design, color and material selections and improving flow and functionality of their spaces. He now works with a team of architects, draftsmen, engineers, 3D artists and interior designers to provide a full array of design services for our customers.
Travis has been married to his best friend Lisa for over 30 years. Lisa and Travis have two beautiful daughters Sisley and Ashley and two sons Josh and Eli and two amazing grand daughters Liberty and Verity!
Travis and Lisa are recent “empty nesters” and have settled down in Midway Utah! They love living in the Midway community and feel really luck to be able to design and building beautiful places there.
As an artist and architectural designer, Travis loves to help customers “see” spaces through his renderings and designs.

Meet Eric
Eric has been building for over 29 years. Eric worked the last 17 years with one of Utah’s largest and successful homebuilders. As one of the company’s most productive and talented Construction Managers, Eric was key in the company successfully constructing between 100 and 300 homes annually.
The builder was voted “Builder of the Year” by the Northern Utah Homebuilder’s Association. In 2014, Eric received his own B-100 General Contractor License.
Travis and Eric worked together for many years at that same home building company and have maintained a great friendship ever since. Eric and Travis joined forces to create Black Oak Builders.
Eric has been married for 29 years to the love of his life, Catee. They have 3 children and now 1 grandson. They lived in Clinton for most of their marriage and live in Kaysville Utah.
When not managing building sites or spending time with family, Eric can be found enjoying the outdoors with his favorite hobby, fly fishing.

Meet Shad
Shad grew up on a farm and has always had a talent for hands-on work. Before joining Black Oak, he worked in exterior lighting and large-scale commercial sign installation for companies like Walmart—quickly moving into leadership roles thanks to his skill, drive, and ability to rally a team.
For the past year and a half, Shad has been the Superintendent at Black Oak Builders, overseeing renovation projects and managing subcontractors to help bring each home to life.
He’s been married to his wife, Deanne, for a year and a half. Off the job site, you’ll find him outdoors chasing adventure—whether it’s on a dirt bike or a snowboard.
Meet Jensen
Jensen likes to work hard and get the job done right. Jensen speaks Portuguese fluently, and enjoys traveling, music, going to the gym, and working on his project car.
